Cheongpung Resort is located on the Cheongpung Lake side in Jecheon. The resort is surrounded with picturesque scenery, such as Asia's largest water view fountain, Chungju Lake cruise, Cheongpung Cultural Property Complex, Worak-san, and Geumsu-san. The resort has all sorts of convenient facilities, not only Lake Hotel and Hotel Hill, but also facilities for health, recreation, leisure, and sports.
Cheongpung Cultural Property Complex is located in front of Cheongpung Resort. This historical experience place stores many cultural assets that were scattered in buried areas of the Chungju multi-purpose dam area in 1985. They were restored on the 85,000-pyeong area and many tourists visit every year. Also, the SBS "Jecheon" filming set is located within the Cheongpung Cultural Property Complex. During the 10-year lease, SBS has filmed many Korean historical and special dramas, such as "Daemang" and "Jang Gilsan."
Visitors can enjoy a Chungju Lake cruise (9,000 won per person --> resort guest discount of 7,200 won per person) and riding a light plane-floating on the water (70,000 won -a resort guest discount of 50,000 won). Other attractions include the "Taejo Wanggeon" filming set, which recreated Yeseong River's Byeongnando port in Gaeseong exactly like the time of Taejo Wanggeon in the Goryeo period, and the Gungye battle location.
The new filming set for KBS's new millennium special "Taejo Wanggeon'' has been revived after thorough research on about 12,000 pyeong of area. After 'Taejo Wanggeon', since the place is being used for historical dramas such as "Jegukui Achim, The Morning of Empire," "Myeongseonghu," and "Bulmyeolui Yi Sunshin (Immortal General Yi Sunshin)," it will be a great place to understand Korea's history and culture.
